Not every salon offers this — but for the clients who need it, nothing else will do

Electrolysis is one of those services that not every salon offers — but for the clients who need it, nothing else will do. It’s the only method recognised as truly permanent hair removal, and it works on all hair types and skin tones. I also offer advanced electrolysis for removing minor skin blemishes such as skin tags, thread veins, and milia. These are specialist treatments that require training, precision, and experience — all things I take seriously.

PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL

Electrolysis Hair Removal

Electrolysis uses a fine probe and a small electrical current to permanently destroy individual hair follicles. Unlike laser, it works on every hair colour — including white, grey, and fine blonde hairs that laser can’t target.

It’s a slower process than waxing because each hair is treated individually, but the results are permanent. Most clients come for areas where they want hair gone for good — upper lip, chin, or other small, persistent patches.

Sessions are available in 15 or 30-minute blocks depending on the area and the amount of hair being treated.

WHAT TO EXPECT

What Electrolysis Feels Like

You may feel a brief, sharp sensation with each hair — most clients describe it as very manageable. Speed and technique make a real difference, and I’ve spent 17 years refining both.

Some redness is normal immediately afterwards and usually settles within a few hours. The number of sessions you’ll need depends on the area, the amount of hair, and your hair growth cycle. I’ll discuss a realistic plan with you during your first appointment.

SPECIALIST TREATMENTS

Advanced Electrolysis

Advanced electrolysis is a different application of the same technology — used to treat minor skin blemishes rather than hair.
I can treat:

Skin tags

— those small, soft growths that often appear on the neck, underarms, or around the eyes. Treatment is quick and effective for most skin tags.

Thread veins (spider veins)

— small, visible blood vessels that commonly appear on the face, particularly around the nose and cheeks.

Milia

— tiny, hard white bumps that sit under the skin’s surface, often around the eyes and cheeks.

Spider naevi

— small clusters of blood vessels that radiate outward from a central point.

THE RESULTS

What To Expect From Advanced Electrolysis

Each blemish is treated individually using a fine probe. The procedure is precise and the results are usually visible after a single session, though some blemishes may require a follow-up.

Most blemishes respond well to treatment, but individual results depend on the type, size, and location of the blemish. I’ll always give you an honest assessment of what to expect before we proceed.

Why Clients Choose Electrolysis

BEFORE YOU BOOK

What To Know Before Your Appointment

Consultation

For advanced electrolysis, I’ll want to see the area you’d like treated before we proceed. If you’re unsure whether a blemish is suitable for this treatment, get in touch and we can discuss it — or book a short appointment so I can assess in person.

Aftercare

I’ll provide full aftercare instructions at the time of your appointment. In general, treated areas should be kept clean and protected from sun exposure while they heal.

Realistic Expectations

Most blemishes respond well to treatment, but individual results depend on the type, size, and location of the blemish. I’ll always give you an honest assessment of what to expect.

While You’re Here…

Many of my electrolysis clients also have questions about their skin — texture changes, dryness, sensitivity, or areas that just don’t look the way they used to.

If you’ve ever wondered what your skin actually needs — beyond cleansing and moisturising — a Skin Analysis might be worth considering. It’s a relaxed, hour-long session where I assess your skin properly and give you honest recommendations. No obligation, no sales pitch. Just professional advice.

Many of my facial clients start here. It’s a simple, low-commitment way to find out what your skin could benefit from.

Questions & Answers

You may feel a brief, sharp sensation with each hair — most clients describe it as very manageable. The more regularly you have treatment, the more comfortable it becomes as hair grows back finer.

This depends on the area, the amount of hair, and your individual hair growth cycle. I’ll discuss a realistic plan during your first appointment. Most clients need a course of sessions for permanent results.

Yes — that’s what makes it different from laser. Electrolysis works on white, grey, blonde, red, and dark hair equally well. It’s the only method that works on every hair colour and skin tone.

I can treat skin tags, thread veins (spider veins), milia, and spider naevi. Each blemish is assessed individually — I’ll always tell you whether treatment is suitable before we proceed.

Some redness is normal immediately after treatment and usually settles within a few hours. I’ll provide full aftercare instructions. You can carry on with your day straight away — just keep the treated area clean and protected from sun exposure.

Laser works by targeting the pigment in dark hair, which means it can’t treat white, grey, or very fine blonde hair. Electrolysis destroys each hair follicle individually regardless of colour — it’s the only method recognised as truly permanent. It’s slower, but the results are permanent.
